So, whats up with sloths

Image result for sloth

So, this is my first post since November 2017. Considering that nobody (literally nobody!) read my last post, which is understandable for obvious reasons, I decided to take a sabbatical from my blogging and focus on my student life. I feel as though the ten views that I received for my first post resulted in an inflation of my ego. It would be fair to say that back then I was in the blogging business for the views. From now on though, I'm doing it purely for love of blogging. So watch out blogging world, I'm back!
So you're probably wondering what prompted this sudden return to a medium that I have a love-hate relationship with. Well, it's simple really. I'm currently in a computer suite on the campus of my university, with about 20 tabs open (none of which are related to my coursework). The different tabs open are a culmination of another day wasted, a day that should have been spent studying for my exams which start next week. So a few minutes ago, I decided that restarting this blog would act as the final nail in the metaphorical coffin (I'm in the coffin by the way, and I died from procrastination.....ok that makes no sense).
To say that I was inspired by Tiger Woods' comeback yesterday at the Masters would be an understatement. I feel like I can relate to his comeback story. 10 people read my first post! This is akin to Woods winning the Masters at age 21. Then, to have such a fall from grace to 0 views on the next ...it's fair to conclude that our stories are virtually identical. Or at least they will be once this blog goes viral (can a blog even go viral?). Granted, my ex didn't try to bash in my car with a golf club (yet), and I haven't needed a spinal fusion operation.
Well, this place is going to close down soon so I better sign off. Still not sure what's up with the sloths on this blog, I'll look into it.

Sloths can actually move quite fast.....when they're upside down

"the unexamined sloth is not worth living"

This is my big comeback people. My last (and only) blog post was way back in May of this year. As of today, a grand total of 12 people have viewed, and I know for a fact that I make up 4 of that audience. However, that leaves 8 people who viewed my blog on their own accord.

I'll admit that the fame went to my head a bit! In all seriousness, I don't think it's the intention of most bloggers to garner a substantial audience for their blogs. It's certainly not mine. I see it more as a medium to express thoughts, maybe venting some anger, or to just waste some time which is what i'm doing now (supposed to be studying for exams). By the way, I don't consider myself a blogger, and I don't think I ever will. As good as this is, I don't think see it as a profession. I'm studying science, so I might pursue something in that. I'm not totally convinced that science is for me though (I'll keep you updated on that).

So I've kept this short, sweet, and not so sloth, but I've decided to commit to this a bit more. I'd love to read your comments, or if you want my opinion on anything (even though it's a bit pretentious of me to even suggest that I could adequately answers your questions) fire ahead!

I'm feeling philo-sloth-ical

Take a look into this sloth's eyes. In fact, take a look into any sloth's eyes and you'll find yourself lost in a world of awe and amazement. Of course, this is hyperbole. I just think its fun to look at sloths! They are some of the most bizarre animals ever to grace the earth. A three-toed sloth can rotate its head nearly 90 degrees. Isn't that mildly interesting, if not a completely pointless piece of trivia.
After that riveting introduction, I feel a duty to explain myself. Although the premise of this blog appears to be sloths, its actually much more than that (to be honest, I'm just using sloths to attract people). My affinity for the humble sloth is unquestionable, and sloths will remain a staple of this blog. However, they will only act as media for various anecdotes. In case you're wondering if I'm aware of how ludicrous this blog-idea is, I can assure you that I am.This idea popped into my head around 5 minutes ago and I just decided to roll with it. I'm not sure about the direction I'm going to take with it, but I'll try and make it enjoyable and funny for you (if there even is a 'you').
With all that said, I'm going to leave you with this quote from Sigmund Freud:
"Sometimes a sloth is just a sloth"

Postscript: I'd love it if you'd leave a comment about... absolutely anything. Maybe you have a personal opinion of sloths that you would like to share, maybe you good ideas for a blog. I'd also appreciate any criticisms too, I'm trying to get better at this!
